Adalat al-Sahaba is the second most vital differentiation between the Shi'a and the Sunnis after Imamah, and it is one of the most important tenets for Ahlus Sunnah to uphold their Hadith corpus. The matter regarding the Sahaba has been the basis for attack, takfir and even the killing of the Shi'a through out history. It has been established as a core tenet for Sunni Islam, where many scholars have issued fatwas of takfir for those who reject the Sahaba's righteousness.
In Sunni theology, Adalat al-Sahaba has its realm in Hadith, where anyone who is classified as a Sahabi is trusted as a reliable and truthful narrator from the Holy Prophet (saw). What is the basis of this belief system? Where is its origin? In this series, we aim to uncover the fully story regarding this strangely absurd belief, which is that anyone who sees the face of the Prophet is protected from the possibility of lying and will enter Heaven per their beliefs.
