It should come as no surprise to our readers that ‘Aisha, the enemy of the Ahl al-Bayt was also one of the major fabricators. We shall provide a few of her more infamous and clear examples of fabrications. Sunnis regard her as an important transmitter of hadiths, including details about the Prophet’s personal and public life, which are foundational to Sunni teachings. However, from a Shia perspective, Aisha’s legacy is viewed critically, primarily because of her involvement in the political conflicts that arose after the Prophet’s death. Her opposition to Imam Ali, especially during the Battle of the Camel, where she led a rebellion against him, is seen as a direct challenge to what Shia Islam considers the rightful leadership of the Prophet’s family.

‘Aisha reported that Zaynab bt. Rasulallah was his best daughter

عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ … فكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: هي أفضل بناتي أصيبت في فبلغ ذلك علي بن الحسين، فانطلق إلى عروة فقال: ما حديث بلغني عنك تحدث به تنتقص به حق فاطمة قال عروة: والله إني لا أحب أن لي ما بين المشرق والمغرب، وإني أنتقص فاطمة رضي الله عنها حقا هو لها وأما بعد فإن لك أن لا أحدث به أبدا

From ‘Urwa from ‘Aisha narrated that the Prophet (SAW) said: “She (Zaynab bt. Muhammad) is the best of my daughters, she has suffered for my sake.” When this story reached ‘Ali b. al-Husayn, he went to ‘Urwa and asked: “What is this narration I heard from you, in which you diminish the right of Fatima!?”. ‘Urwah replied: “By Allah, I do not wish for anything between the east and the west, and that I diminish any of the rights of Fatima (AS). But now that you have raised this issue, I will no longer narrate it.”

This report can also be found in al-Mu’jam al-Kabir Vol 9 pg. 381 - 382, Hadith # 18484, and Al-Haythami certified this report in Majma’ al-Zawa’id Vol 9, pg. 250, Hadith # 15231.

This report has a sahih chain to ‘Aisha, who claims that the Prophet (SAW) said that Zaynab was his best daughter; this is a clear lie, as it is well known that among the Prophet’s daughters, the best of them was Fatima (AS). We read in Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3878 and Musnad Ahmad b. Hanbal, Vol. 19 pg. 383 Hadith # 12414:

12391 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: " ‌حَسْبُكَ ‌مِنْ ‌نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ مَرْيَمُ ابْنَةُ عِمْرَانَ، وَخَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ، وَفَاطِمَةُ ابْنَةُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَآسِيَةُ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ"

Anas narrated that the prophet (SAW) said: “The most excellent of the women of all worlds are: Mary the daughter of Imran, Khadija the daughter of Khuwaylid, Fatimah the daughter of Muhammad, and Asiya the wife of Pharaoh.”

Shaykh Shu’ayb al-Arna’ut stated: ‘Sahih on the conditions of two Shaykhs’

2668 - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ، عَنْ عِلْبَاءَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: خَطَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ خُطُوطٍ، قَالَ: " تَدْرُونَ مَا هَذَا؟ " فَقَالُوا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أَفْضَلُ ‌نِسَاءِ ‌أَهْلِ ‌الْجَنَّةِ: خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ، وَفَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَآسِيَةُ بِنْتُ مُزَاحِمٍ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ، وَمَرْيَمُ ابْنَةُ عِمْرَانَ."

Ibn ‘Abbas narrates that Rasulullah (SAW) made four lines on the earth, then He said to his companions, ‘Do you know what this is?’ They replied: ‘Allah and his messenger know best’. He replied: ‘The most excellent of the women of Paradise are Khadija the daughter of Khuwaylid, Fatimah the daughter of Muhammad, Asiya the wife of Pharaoh, and Mary the daughter of Imran’

Shaykh Shu’ayb al-Arna’ut stated: ‘The Chain is Sahih, the narrators are reliable (Thiqat), narrators of Sahih (books)’

We further read in Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3781:

Narrated Hudhaifah: "My mother asked me: 'When is your planned time - meaning with the Prophet (ﷺ)?' So I said: 'I have not had a planned time to see him since such and such time.' She rebuked me, so I said to her: 'Let me go to the Prophet (ﷺ) so that I may perform Maghrib (prayer) with him, and ask him to seek forgiveness for you and I.' So I came to the Prophet (ﷺ), and I prayed Maghrib with him, then he prayed until he prayed Al-'Isha. Then he turned, and I followed him, and he heard my voice, and said: 'Who is this? Hudhaifah?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: "What is your need, may Allah forgive you and your mother?' He said: 'Indeed, this is an angel that never descended to the earth ever before tonight. He sought permission from his Lord to greet me with peace and to give me the glad tidings that Fatimah is the chief of the women of Paradise, and that Al-Hasan and Al-Husain are the chiefs of the youths of the people of Paradise.'"

Should our opponents try to argue that the hadith is not diminishing the status of Fatima, we would kindly ask them to answer for Imam Ali b. al-Husayn’s angry reaction to ‘Urwa narrating this report, as well as ‘Urwa promising to cease narrating the hadith.

‘Aisha lied about who the last person with the Prophet

One of ‘Aisha’s other clear lies is the infamous narration whereby she claims that the Prophet (saw) died in her arms. We read in Sahih al-Bukhari 4446:

Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet (ﷺ) died while he was between my chest and chin, so I never dislike the death agony for anyone after the Prophet.

We also read in Sahih Muslim 1636:

Aswad b. Yazid reported: It was mentioned before A'isha that will had been made (by the Holy Prophet) in favour of 'Ali (as the Prophet's first caliph), whereupon she said: When did he make will in his favour? I had been providing support to him (to the Holy Prophet) with my chest (or with my lap). He asked for a tray, when he fell in my lap (relaxing his body), and I did not realise that he had breathed his last. When did he make any will in his ('Ali's) favour?

Note that these reports all come from ‘Aisha. This is a clear lie, as there are numerous reports which indicate that the last person to be with the Prophet (SAW) at the time of his passing away was ‘Ali (AS). We read in al-Tabaqat al-Kubra, Vol. 2, pg. 201 - 202:

أخبرنا محمد بن عمر. قال: أخبرنا عبد العزيز بن محمد عن حرام بن عثمان عن أبي حازم عن جابر بن عبد الله الأنصاري: أن كعب الأحبار قام زمن عمر فقال ونحن جلوس عند عمر أمير المؤمنين: ما كان آخر ما تكلم به رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم-؟ فقال عمر: سل عليا. قال: أين هو؟ قال: هو هنا. فسأله فقال علي: أسندته إلى صدري فوضع رأسه على منكبي فقال:، الصلاة الصلاة!، فقال كعب: كذلك آخر عهد الأنبياء وبه أمروا وعليه يبعثون. قال: فمن غسله يا أمير المؤمنين؟ قال: سل عليا. قال فسأله فقال: كنت أنا أغسله وكان عباس جالسا وكان أسامة وشقران يختلفان إلي بالماء.

أخبرنا محمد بن عمر. حدثني عبد الله بن محمد بن عمر بن علي بن أبي طالب عن أبيه عن جده قال: قال رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- في مرضه:، ادعوا لي أخي،. قال: فدعي له علي فقال:، ادن مني، فدنوت منه فاستند إلي فلم يزل مستندا إلي وإنه ليكلمني حتى إن بعض ريق النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- ليصيبني ثم نزل برسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وثقل في حجري فصحت يا عباس أدركني فإني هالك! فجاء العباس فكان جهدهما جميعا أن أضجعاه.

أخبرنا محمد بن عمر. حدثني عبد الله بن محمد بن عمر بن علي عن أبيه عن علي بن حسين قال: قبض رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- ورأسه في حجر علي.

أخبرنا محمد بن عمر. حدثني أبو الجويرية عن أبيه عن الشعبي قال: توفي رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- ورأسه في حجر علي وغسله علي والفضل محتضنه وأسامة يناول الفضل الماء.

أخبرنا محمد بن عمر. حدثني سليمان بن داود بن الحصين عن أبيه عن أبي غطفان قال: سألت ابن عباس أرأيت رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- توفي ورأسه في حجر أحد؟ قال: توفي وهو لمستند إلى صدر علي. قلت: فإن عروة حدثني عن عائشة أنها قالت توفي رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بين سحري ونحري! فقال ابن عباس: أتعقل؟ والله لتوفي رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وإنه لمستند إلى صدر علي. وهو الذي غسله وأخي الفضل بن عباس وأبى أبي أن يحضر وقال: إن رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- كان يأمرنا أن نستتر فكان عند الستر.

Muhammad b. Umar narrated to us from ‘Abd al-‘Aziz b. Muhammad, from Haram b. Uthman, from Abu Hazim, from Jabir b. ‘Abdullah al-Ansari: Ka‘b al-Ahbar stood during the time of ‘Umar while we were sitting with ‘Umar, the Commander of the Faithful. Ka‘b asked, "What were the last words spoken by the Messenger of Allah  (saw)?" ‘Umar replied, "Ask Ali." Ka‘b asked, "Where is he?" ‘Umar said, "He is here." So Ka‘b asked him, and Ali responded, "I supported him against my chest, and he rested his head on my shoulder and said: 'The prayer, the prayer!'" Ka‘b said, "Indeed, that was the last command of the prophets, and they were ordered with it, and they will be resurrected upon it." Then Ka‘b asked, "Who washed him, O Commander of the Faithful?" ‘Umar replied, "Ask Ali." So Ka‘b asked Ali, and he said, "I was the one who washed him, while ‘Abbas was sitting, and Usama and Shuqran were bringing the water for me."

Muhammad b. Umar narrated to us from ‘Abdullah b. Muhammad b. ‘Umar b. ‘Ali b. Abi Talib, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: The Messenger of Allah (saw) during his illness said, "Call for me my brother." So, ‘Ali was called for him. The Prophet said, "Come closer to me." I moved closer to him, and he leaned on me. He continued to lean on me and speak to me, to the extent that some of the Prophet's saliva touched me. Then, the Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away while he was in my lap. I cried out, "O ‘Abbas, help me, for I am destroyed!" So ‘Abbas came, and, with the combined effort of both of us, we layed him down.

Muhammad b. Umar narrated to us from ‘Abdullah b. Muhammad b. ‘Umar b. ‘Ali, from his father, from ‘Ali b. al-Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away while his head was in the lap of ‘Ali.

Muhammad b. Umar narrated to us from Abu al-Juwayriyah, from his father, from al-Sha‘bi, who said: The Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away with his head in the lap of ‘Ali, and it was ‘Ali who washed him, while al-Fadhl was holding him, and Usama was handing water to al-Fadhl.

Muhammad b. Umar narrated to us from Sulayman b. Dawud b. al-Husayn, from his father, from Abu Ghadafan, who said: I asked Ibn ‘Abbas, “Did the Messenger of Allah (saw) pass away with his head in anyone’s lap?” He replied, “The Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away while leaning against the chest of ‘Ali.” I said, “But ‘Urwah narrated to me from ‘Aisha that she said, ‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away between my chest and neck!’” Ibn ‘Abbas responded, “Are you sane? By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away while he was leaning against the chest of ‘Ali. He was the one who washed him, along with my brother, al-Fadhl b. ‘Abbas. My father refused to attend and said, ‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to instruct us to cover ourselves, so he remained behind the curtain.’”

Some will notice that these reports all converge on Muhammad b. ‘Umar, who is the famous historian al-Waqidi. While al-Waqidi may be weak in Hadith, we would note to our readers that among the reasons why he is weakened is precisely for these sort of reports; if he was not weakened then the result would be catastrophic for our opponents, as then it would be clear that ‘Aisha was a fraud. In any case, we see that unlike ‘Aisha’s claim that she was with the Prophet (SAW) last, the narrative that ‘Ali (AS) was with him last is narrated by multiple authorities:

  • Jabir b. ‘Abdillah al-Ansari

  • ‘Umar b. ‘Ali b. Abi Talib

  • ‘Ali b. al-Husayn b. ‘Ali b. Abi Talib

  • al-Sha’abi

  • ‘Abdullah b. ‘Abbas

The issue for our opponents however is that there exists a strong chain to Umm Salama (AS) which corroborates the reports of al-Waqidi. We read Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba Vol 18, pg. 55, Hadith # 34237:

حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن مغيرة عن أم موسى عن أم سلمة قالت : والذي أحلف به إن كان علي لأقرب الناس عهدا برسول الله ﷺ ، قالت : عدنا رسول الله ﷺ يوم قبض في بيت عائشة، فجعل رسول الله ﷺ غداة بعد غداة يقول : جاء علي ؟ مراراً، قالت: وأظنه كان بعثه في حاجة قالت : فجاء بعد فظننا أن له إليه حاجة، فخرجنا من البيت فقعدنا بالباب، فكنت من أدناهم من الباب، قالت: فأكب عليه علي فجعل يساره ويناجيه، ثم قبض من يومه ذلك، فكان أقرب الناس به عهداً.

Jarir b. Abd al-Hamid narrated to us from Mughirah, from Umm Musa, from Umm Salamah, who said: 'By the One I swear by, Ali was indeed the closest of people to the Messenger of Allah (saw). She said: We visited the Messenger of Allah (saw) on the day he passed away in the house of Aisha. The Messenger of Allah (saw) kept asking each morning: "Has Ali come?" repeatedly. She said: And I thought he sent him for a need. She said: So he came, and we thought he had a need from him, so we left the house and sat at the door, and I was among the closest to the door. She said: (Ali leaned) over him and was speaking to him in private, then he passed away that day, and Ali was the closest of people to him at that time.'"

This report was later transmitted by Ahmad b. Hanbal in Fadha'il al-Sahaba Vol. 2, pg. 686, Hadith # 1171, where the editor certified that the tradition is Sahih.

It was also transmitted by al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak 'ala al-Sahihain Vol. 3, pg. 149, Hadith # 4671, and both al-Hakim and al-Dhahabi affirmed that the report is Sahih. Furthermore, Muhammad Kamil Qurra Bali in his tahqiq of al-Mustadrak declared the report Hasan.

Lastly, this Hadith can be found in Musnad Abi Ya'la, Vol. 12, pg. 364 - 365 & 404 - 405, Hadith # 6934 & 6968, and the editor, Husayn Selim Asad, also affirmed that the report is Sahih.

Thus we see that in addition to the narrators we listed above, Umm Salama (AS) also confirmed that ‘Ali was the last to see the Prophet (SAW).

حدثنا إبراهيم قال: نا محمد بن سيار المروزي قال: نا عبدان بن عثمان، عن أبي حمزة، عن يزيد بن أبي زياد، عن مقسم، عن ابن عباس، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لما ثقل، وعنده عائشة وحفصة، إذ دخل علي، فلما رآه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رفع رأسه، ثم قال: «ادن مني، ادن مني» فأسنده إليه، فلم يزل عنده حتى توفي، فلما قضى قام علي وأغلق الباب، وجاء العباس ومعه بنو عبد المطلب، فقاموا على الباب، فجعل علي يقول: ما زلت طيبا حيا، وطيبا ميتا، وسطعت ريحه طيبة لم يجدوا مثلها، فقال: إنها ريح حنينك كحنين المرأة، وأقبلوا على صاحبكم. فقال علي: أدخلوا علي الفضل بن العباس، فقالت الأنصار: نشدناكم بالله في نصيبنا من رسول الله، فأدخلوا رجلا منهم، يقال له أوس بن خولي، يحمل جرة بإحدى يديه، فسمعوا صوتا في البيت: لا تجردوا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، واغسلوه كما هو في قميصه، فغسله علي، يدخل يده تحت القميص، والفضل يمسك الثوب عنه، والأنصاري ينقل الماء، وعلى يد علي خرقة، يدخل يده تحت القميص

Ibrahim narrated to us from Muhammad b. Sayyar al-Marwazi, from ‘Abdan b. ‘Uthman, from Abu Hamza, from Yazid b. Abi Ziyad, from Miqsam, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said:

When the Prophet (saw) grew gravely ill, while Aisha and Hafsa were in his presence, Ali entered. When the Prophet (saw) saw him, he lifted his head and said, "Come closer to me, come closer to me." Ali leaned the Prophet against himself, and remained with him until he passed away. After the Prophet passed, Ali stood up and closed the door. Al-‘Abbas then came with Banu ‘Abd al-Muttalib, and they stood at the door. Ali began to say, "You were fragrant and pure in life, and you remain fragrant and pure in death." A pleasant fragrance arose, one they had never experienced before, and he said, "It is the scent of your yearning, like a woman’s longing. Come turn to your companion."

Ali said, "Bring al-Fadhl b. al-‘Abbas to me." The Ansar pleaded, "For Allah’s sake, grant us our share of the Messenger of Allah." So they admitted a man from among them, named Aws b. Khawli, who held a water vessel in one hand. They heard a voice from inside the room saying, "Do not strip the Messenger of Allah (saw) and wash him as he is, in his shirt." Thus, Ali washed him, inserting his hand under the shirt, while al-Fadhl held the garment from above, and the man from the Ansar poured water. Ali used a cloth on his hand, inserting it under the shirt to perform the washing.

حدثنا غسان بن عبيد الله، قال: نا يوسف بن نافع، قال: نا عبد الرحمن بن أبي الموالي، عن عبيد الله بن أبي رافع، عن أبيه رضي الله عنه، قال: توفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ورأسه في حجر علي بن أبي طالب وهو يقول لعلي: «الله الله وما ملكت أيمانكم، الله الله والصلاة» فكان آخر ما تكلم به رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

Ghassan b. 'Ubayd Allah narrated to us from Yusuf b. Nafi', from 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi al-Mawali, from 'Ubayd Allah b. Abi Rafi', from his father (ra) who said:

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away with his head resting in the lap of Ali b. Abi Talib while he was saying to Ali: 'Fear Allah, fear Allah regarding those whom your right hands possess. Fear Allah, fear Allah concerning prayer.' These were last words the Messenger of Allah (saw) spoke."

Al-Haythami graded the tradition in Majma' al-Zawa'id Vol. 2, pg. 10, Hadith # 1622, noting that he did not know one of the narrators. In any case, we now see that the fact that the following people reported that the Prophet (SAW) died with ‘Ali:

  • Jabir b. ‘Abdillah al-Ansari

  • ‘Umar b. ‘Ali b. Abi Talib

  • ‘Ali b. al-Husayn b. ‘Ali b. Abi Talib

  • al-Sha’abi

  • Umm Salama

  • ‘Abdullah b. ‘Abbas

  • Abu Rafi’ 

Aisha fabricated a hadith in favor of her father

حدثني الحسن بن علي بن محمّد بن المذهب الواعظ- من أصل كتابه العتيق- قال: حدثني أبو القاسم هارون بن أحمد العلاف المعروف بالقطّان- إملاء من لفظه في سنة أربع وسبعين وثلاثمائة- حدثنا أبو بكر أحمد بن محمّد بن إسماعيل الأدمي المقرئ- سنة اثنتين وعشرين وثلاثمائة- حدثنا أحمد بن منصور الرمادي، حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا معمّر عن الزّهريّ عن أنس بن مالك عن عائشة قالت: كانت ليلتي من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فلما ضمني وإياه الفراش قلت: يا رسول الله ألست أكرم أزواجك عليك؟ قال: «بلى يا عائشة» قلت: فحدثني عن أبي بفضيلة. قال: «حدثني جبريل أن الله تعالى لما خلق الأرواح، اختار روح أبي بكر الصديق من بين الأرواح، وجعل ترابها من الجنة، وماءها من الحيوان، وجعل له قصرا في الجنة من درة بيضاء، مقاصيرها فيها من الذهب والفضة البيضاء، وأن الله تعالى آلى على نفسه أن لا يسلبه حسنة، ولا يسأله عن سيئة، وإني ضمنت على الله كما ضمن الله على نفسه أن لا ‌يكون ‌لي ‌ضجيعا ‌في ‌حفرتي، ولا أنيسا في وحدتي، ولا خليفة على أمتي من بعدي إلا أبوك يا عائشة، بايع على ذلك جبريل وميكائيل، وعقدت خلافته براية بيضاء، وعقد لواؤه تحت العرش، قال الله للملائكة: رضيتم ما رضيت لعبدي؟ فكفى بأبيك فخرا أن بايع له جبريل وميكائيل، وملائكة السماء وطائفة من الشياطين يسكنون البحر، فمن لم يقبل هذا فليس مني ولست منه» قالت عائشة: فقبلت أنفه وما بين عينيه، فقال: «حسبك يا عائشة. فمن لست بأمه فو الله ما أنا بنبيه، فمن أراد أن يتبرأ من الله ومني فليتبرأ منك يا عائشة».

Al-Hasan b. Ali b. Muhammad b. al-Madhhab al-Wa'idh narrated to me—from his ancient book—who said: Abu al-Qasim Harun b. Ahmad al-'Allaf, known as al-Qattan, narrated to us—dictating from his own words in the year 374 AH. He said: Abu Bakr Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Isma'il al-Adami al-Muqri' narrated to us in the year 322 AH, who said: Ahmad b. Mansur al-Ramadi narrated to us, who said: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, informing us from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Anas b. Malik, from Aisha who said:

"It was my night with the Messenger of Allah (SAW and when he and I were lying in bed, I said: O Messenger of Allah, am I not the most honored of your wives to you? He said: 'Indeed, O Aisha.' I said: So, tell me something virtuous about my father. He said: 'Gabriel told me that when Allah created the souls, He chose the soul of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq from among the souls, and made its soil from Paradise and its water from the Water of Life. He built for him a palace in Paradise from a white pearl, its inner chambers of gold and white silver. Allah swore upon Himself that He would not take away any good deed from him nor ask him about any sin. I have guaranteed from Allah, as He guaranteed to Himself, that no one will be my companion in my grave, or my friend in my loneliness, or my successor over my nation after me except your father, O Aisha. Gabriel and Michael gave allegiance to this, and his succession was sealed with a white banner, and his flag was tied beneath the Throne. Allah said to the angels: Are you content with what I have chosen for My servant? It is enough for your father’s honor that Gabriel and Michael, the angels of the heavens, and a group of devils who inhabit the sea gave him allegiance. Whoever does not accept this is not from me, and I am not from him.'

Aisha said: I kissed his nose and between his eyes, and he said: 'That’s enough, O Aisha. For whomever you are not his mother, by Allah, I am not his prophet. Whoever wants to disavow Allah and me, let them disavow you, O Aisha.'"

Al-Khatib then commented:

قلت: لا يثبت هذا الحديث، ورجال إسناده كلهم ثقات… 

I said: This hadith is not authentic, even though all the men in its chain of transmission are trustworthy… 

Besides the obvious absurdity of the merits that we see in this Hadith, we know for certain that is fabricated to the fact that ‘Aisha claims that the Prophet (SAW) told her that Abu Bakr would be the only one buried besides him; she did not account for the fact that she would later approve of ‘Umar being buried by the Prophet (SAW). 

In conclusion, while there are many more lies that ‘Aisha narrated, many of which are still used to attack Islam today, we believe that these shall suffice our readers, as they are the clearest examples, which are authentic from the sources of our opponents.
